Rossland is steeped in Mountain Bike History and rich in sweet Mountain Bike Trails. We first visited “Canada’s Mountain Bike Capital” in 2017 and we’re thrilled to be back for the final two stages of Singletrack 6 2021!

The Stage:

Hold onto your hats as Singletrack 6 heads to Rossland! This stage features the biggest sustained descent of the week, but first you’ll have to do some climbing to get there! Starting from the Centennial Park ball diamonds, you’ll head south through the streets of Rossland before climbing up Drakes Farm Road, Doukhobor Draw and Tamarack trails to hit the first checkpoint to prepare for the downhill! SMD (Super-Mega-Death) trail descends nearly 600m over 5.5km. Considered an all-mountain trail, it is rideable on a cross-country rig, with lots of fun drops and challenges for strong riders. We skip the last portion of this trail in favour of the Awesome trail, which dials back the tech and gnar for the last 1.4km of the descent. Once at the bottom, enjoy the Checkpoint because you’ve got the biggest single climb of the week to get back up the ridge to Checkpoint 3! From here you’ll head onto the TImed Descent - 2km and 250m of descending on “Whiskey”. Then you’ve got one more climb to get back up to the final singletrack descent to the finish at the baseball diamond!

Elevation Gain: 1,200 m

Timed Descent: Whiskey, 2.0km, 250m Elevation Loss
